From Amsterdam Centraal, we took intercity train (change to Sprinter train at Rotterdam) to reach the seaport at Hoek van Holland, where we board the Stena Line. Inside the cruise, just like a hotel where we booked cabin with beds. There are shopping, restaurant, movie etc on board.
We spent the night at sea before reaching the international port Harwich, UK, in the morning. Upon arrival, we went to train ticket counter to book a train to London which would take one and half hour ride. At the counter, the lady asked us whether we were in hurry, to which we said not really. She advised us to take the next-next train which was about 40 minutes later because it was cheaper than taking the train during rush hour. How nice..!! So.. we took light breakfast at the port while waiting for the next-next train.
This complete our 2008-London, Paris & Amsterdam entries where we spent sometimes in London (see earlier posts on London) before finally coming back home to Malaysia.
