Switzerland, Dec 2016 - Interlaken

Interlaken, bandar pelancongan yang mula-mula kami bercadang untuk menginap di Switzerland, terletak tidak berapa jauh dari Spiez, Keputusan untuk menginap di Spiez adalah lebih tepat kepada kami kerana pekan kecil Faulensee di Spiez lebih nyaman/harmoni berbanding dengan Interlaken.

We had first intended to stay in Interlaken, a tourist area, not very far from Spiez, Our decision to stay in Faulensee, a small town in Spiez was a right one to us as the place was quieter and less busy than Interlaken.

Hari berikutnya selepas kami tiba di Spiez, kami pergi ke pusat penerangan pelancong di Interlaken Ost untuk memperkemaskan itinerari selama menginap di Spiez.  Tetapi pusat tersebut ditutup pada musim sejuk. Di pintu diberikan alamat pusat yang lain yang beroperasi, lebih kurang 1 km dari situ.

We went to Tourist Information Center at Interlaken Ost on the next day of arrival to Spiez to firm up our Swiss vacation itinerary. However, we found out that the center was closed during the winter season. There was another center opened which was about a kilometre away, nearer to Interlaken West rail station.

Berjalan kaki. Nampak beberapa kedai makan halal. While walking to the Tourist Information Center, we spotted quite a few 'Halal' restaurants along the way.

Pusat Penerangan Pelancong tersebut terletak lebih dekat dengan stesen Interlaken West. The Tourist Information Center, was nearer to Interlaken West station.

Di supermarket Migros berdekatan dengan stesen Interlaken West, kami jumpa buah-buahan dari Malaysia. Malaysian fruit sold at Migros, a grocery store near Interlaken West.

Pada penghujung penginapan kami di Spiez, kami pergi semula untuk pusing-pusing di kawasan Interlaken. Tujuan utama ialah untuk menaiki cruise di lake Thun yang berlepas dari pengkalan bot yang terletak bersebelahan dengan stesen keretapi Interlaken West.

The second last day in Switzerland, we went again to Interlaken to spend more walking around the place with the main intention to take a boat ride in Lake Thunersee. The port was just right next to Interlaken West rail station.

Pemegang Family Pass menaiki boat secara percuma, tetapi kena buat booking dulu kerana tempat terhad. Pemandangan dari deck tinjau di bahagian luar sangat cantik sekali... bagaimana pun tidak  dapat bertahan lama-lama duduk di luar kerana cuaca yang agak sejuk.

Swiss Family Pass holder ride the boat free,however booking is required since seats were limited. The view from the upper deck (outside) was beautiful but we could not stand the cold air for long.

Makan tengahari lewat sedikit di atas bot. Slightly late lunch on the cruise.

Kami turun di pengkalan Spiez dengan tidak menghabiskan pelayaran ke pengkalan hujung sekali di Thun kerana hari dah hampir petang dan kami ingin membeli belah di Spiez sebelum malam menjelang.  Agak jauh juga berjalan (15 minit) untuk naik dari pengkalan ke Spiez bahnhof.

We did not finish the whole journey to the last port in Thun as it was already in the evening and we need to do some shopping in Spiez before the night fall. We got off at Spiez which to us some walking distance (about 15 minutes walking) to reach Spiez bahnhof.
